Welcome to Performance Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Academy, where we teach martial arts according to the standards of Grandmaster Helio Gracie.

Gracie Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu was founded by Grandmaster Helio Gracie in Rio de Janerio, and has produced many great Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) fighters over the years. Our highly experienced instructor, 2nd Degree Black Belt Louis Vintaloro, traveled to the Gracie Humaitá Academy to receive his training, and now offers his expertise and attention to each and every one of his Jiu-Jitsu students.

Beyond his vast experience in Jiu-Jitsu, Professor Louis Vintaloro holds a BA in Education from William Patterson University. He instructs most of our BJJ classes, and is present at most BJJ Open Mats.

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) and Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) Training

Professor Vintaloro seeks to inspire well-rounded martial arts students. In that spirit, we complement our BJJ training with mixed martial arts (MMA) training. MMA techniques are often incorporated with our regular Jiu-Jitsu training.

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) and Muay Thai Classes for Adults & Kids

In addition to the BJJ and Muay Thai classes for adults, Performance offers kids Jiu-Jitsu for ages 5 through 16. As a Gracie Jiu-Jitsu academy, we work to nurture skill, self-confidence, fitness and goal attainment in every child we instruct.
