Read below to find out what our student’s are saying about Performance Jiu Jitsu….

“Professor Louis Vintaloro is an excellent coach and motivator. His teaching methods are highly effective because he breaks down even the most difficult tasks or techniques into clear, easy-to-understand, simple components and presents them with clarity and patience. Always eager to help the students, regardless of their age, experience, or belt, his corrections and ‘coaching points’ are direct, informative, and consistent. Because of his leadership, humility, and positive attitude, the environment at Performance Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Academy is the BEST — very comfortable, relaxed, and extremely supportive.”

With my touring schedule and availability, it’s been hard to stay consistent with my training. When I met Louis Vintaloro through a mutual friend Christopher Brough, he spent some time with me on the mat refining my “traditional style” of Gracie Jiu Jitsu and helped smooth out the rough edges. In the limited time I had to train with Louis, I promptly experienced his high level of teaching. It was quickly obvious to me that his ability to analyze where and what I needed to focus on would help me bring my Gracie Jiu Jitsu out of the dusty attic and into todays modern academy. My time spent with Louis and his great ability to focus on what will work best for you in any given situation was very valuable to my growth in Gracie Jiu Jitsu.

I have been training at Performance Jiu-Jitsu since 2005. My only regret is that I did not start sooner. As a Police Officer in New Jersey I know the importance of self-defense. I believe that Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is the best no nonsense martial art out there. Many instructors can execute the moves but don’t know how to teach. Louis can do both. He’s an excellent instructor with a world of experience. I’m proud to say that I’m in the best shape of my life, and receiving instruction from a Royler Gracie Blackbelt.

“I started training BJJ with Louis Vintaloro almost 4 years ago and I can’t put in to words how much it has helped me in my life. The gentle art, as it is called, is as much mental as it is physical, it has given me confidence, work ethic and most importantly, a more humble approach to life. To practice jiujitsu you must be humble and keep an open mind or you will eventually lose focus. Lucky for me, Performance Jiu-Jitsu offers the perfect balance of tough competition while keeping a very fun and open atmosphere. Because I travel a lot, I have had the opportunity to train at many gyms all over the world and In my opinion no one can break down the complex elements of jiu-jitsu better than Lou Vintaloro. Performance Jiu-Jitsu is much more than a place to train and learn BJJ it is a place of friends, I have made and cultivated so many great relationships in last four years and I am proud to say I am a member of PJJ.”

“Two years ago at age 54 I joined The Performance Jiu Jitsu Academy. I lost 40 pounds and feel like I’m back in college again. Master Louis has developed a unique culture of learning and camaraderie among all the students. This experience has me truly looking forward to my nights of Jiu Jitsu.”
